I've been doing a bit of organizing as my 40mm collection gets larger. Here is a table of organization for the British. It's intended to be a balanced "classic" horse and musket force of a reasonable size for the table and keeping the whole force around 100 foot figures and 40-50 cavalry and 2-3 guns...a good size for a fun game with individual basing. The dashed units are still in progress (casting/painting) and the force will be a mix of historical and fictitious units.
I'm trying to get the French done before my Fall teaching begins and the summer gaming party has to slow down.

You are indeed a man with a plan.
Are you devising any new Charge rules to cater for the difference between 6Lb and 12Lb.
Cheers
Such organisation and planning , sadly I find I never plan ahead, I must take a leaf from your book sir !
Always nice to see a good plan executed with vigor...
@Mark,
Yes, I was thinking the 6lbrs would have the longest range band eliminated and or some reduction in effectiveness?
I'm also wanting to work on the melee rules even though they are pretty clean, they do lack a cavalry pursuit option, which seems like a good idea because often the cav. wins a melee and then takes a turn to rally and then pursues...they usually can reach a retreating infantry unit a turn later....but it all seems a bit awkward...also how grenadiers fare in melee vis-a-vis regulars seems a bit vague...but I'm not one to tweak an already great set of rules...so it remains just a notion not yet tried...I have searched for "Charge" variants online but have not much success.
Reminds me a little of Don Featherstone's 18th Century F&IW Campaign in which the forces, though fairly sizeable in numbers of figures, comprised a battalion or regiment with attachments. The limited campaign was an exciting a narrative as anything vaster in scope might have been...
Looking forward to more...
